John Fisher

Bridgeport is led by its President, John Fisher, who has over 16 years of business and investment experience. Before founding Bridgeport, John served as a Managing Director at Clairvest Group Inc., a Toronto-based private equity firm with approximately $600 million of capital under management. Over his ten years at Clairvest, John was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing strategic equity investments in both private and public companies. He has served on the board of directors of several companies and acted as a key strategic advisor to senior executives and business owners. 

Prior to Clairvest, John worked as an investment banker at a major Canadian bank-owned brokerage firm and in corporate finance, business valuation and accounting for a Big Four public accounting firm in Toronto.

John earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. In addition, he holds the Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Business Valuation designations.

Jason Ward

Jason Ward is an Investment Analyst at Bridgeport Asset Management. Prior to joining Bridgeport, Jason worked as a credit analyst for four years at DBRS Limited in Toronto. He completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Jason enjoys travelling, learning new languages and maintaining an active lifestyle through a variety of sports activities.
